We had a great experience working with Anders. We just finished an extensive remodel of our backyard, including re-doing the pool. Anders is very professional. He met with us and listened to our requests, and never pushed us to do more than what we wanted. He would list the options, but would let us make decision based on our budget. He was very clear about the cost, and the length of the project. He has an eye for design, and was always making sure that the end result would be the best possible. In the end, the project was on-time and on-budget, and looks amazing!!!. His sub-contractors were excellent as well. I truly appreciated his honesty. We needed to renovate our desert home in Palm Springs and interviewed a number of contractors. Hanson proposal was very detailed and reasonable, and the discussion we had was very positive. He walked us through the process while reviewing the drawings we put together for the project. The schedule and budget he provided for the project was maintained and any changes to either were clearly identified and discussed. The craftsmanship was great and when we made last minute change, he was happy to do it. Because we were not on site during construction, Anders always sent us progress pictures on a regular basis and always kept us up to date on the coordination work with the subs. After interviewing several contractors for my remodel project and not being impressed with any of them, I was referred to Anders (Hanson Remodels) by my pool contractor. Anders was prompt with return calls and had detailed quotes for me that were broken-down the way I requested to see the bid. The project was initially small in scope, but ultimately because I developed a high level of trust and respect for Anders I practically gutted and remodeled the entire house. I was on a budget but Anders was always willing to give me the good-better-best pricing scenario so I could decide what made the most sense for my needs. Also, I wasn’t working with a designer, so Anders was my source for ideas and he came up with creative solutions throughout the entire remodel. My project included a total bathroom gut/remodel/enlargement, enlarging a kitchen with all new cabinetry, countertops, and appliances, new exterior doors and interior doors, removing interior walls, custom made windows, new HVAC system, tankless water heater, exterior stucco work, all new LED lighting throughout the house, and much more. The end result is exactly as I envisioned. I’m very please with my experience working with Anders. I referred Anders to several friends, who all contacted me after their completed projects to say “thank you” for the referral because they were also pleased with their experience.

Sometimes things work out…. and it’s really great when it does. We met Anders by fluke. I would love to say that we did our research, interviewed 10 contractors and found the perfect fit for us and our backyard remodel. We didn’t. He came as a referral from RE agent we barely knew. After meeting with him a couple of times and listening to his ideas on what we could do we thought he was our guy and decided to move forward. What Anders offers that not everyone else can do, even the best of contractors, is his eye for design. We absolutely LOVE our new backyard.

Wow! Love Love Love what you created for us in our back yard. We knew we wanted a low maintenance “desert scape” but had no real idea what this conversion would look like and what it would cost. We used Anders for a complete overhaul of our patio. The end result was wonderful and we couldn’t be happier!  Anders was so easy to work with and was always available to discuss my ideas. I had an outdoor spa installed and wanted it covered so it didn’t look like a big brown box! He took my idea for covering it and made it even better. The result was beyond what I had pictured. His knowledge of plants that would work in the desert climate is extensive and that really made out patio exceptional. We live in a gated community and I have received so many compliments from our neighbors on our patio remodel. I also had him install landscape lighting and the way he set many lights to reflect the plants is just fantastic. I would not hesitate to use Anders again for my next project!

We recently purchased a home that needed some remodeling. Having never experienced an extensive remodel, we were slightly overwhelmed when we realized the entire kitchen needed to be ripped out and replaced with a new layout along with changing out the floors.  Fortunately with Anders considerable knowledge and calm guidance we were able to make a plan that not only fit our budget but exceeded our expectations.  Anders provided excellent suggestions and ideas that completed the result we wanted in a very timely manner.  No matter the budget or time limit I would highly recommend Hanson Remodels & Landscape to anyone looking to remodel (residential or commercial).  Such a relief to find a professional who is respectful of the client in all matters.

We just finished an extensive exterior remodeling of our desert home, including:

• demolition and replacement of existing hardscape;
• reimagining and installation of more suitable plantings along with attractive planter pots and ground cover
• installation of new landscape lighting, irrigation system, fire pit, shade structure, drainage system; and golf ball protective net;
• complete rehabbing of pool and installation of salt cell

In short, this was not a small job, but Anders, with his design sense and attention to detail, made it as easy as possible for us.  Not least of all, he stuck with it and supervised every detail, both during the job and with the inevitable post-completion punch-list.

We also found his advance estimate of the cost to be quite reasonable, and he delivered the project “on budget and on-time”—except for some extras we ourselves requested, for which his charges were also reasonable.

Suffice it to say, this guy is a gem, and we are happy to recommend him to any and all.  I might add that this review is completely unsolicited!

Finally, a contractor with a great eye for architecture, design, quality workmanship and an ability to keep a project on-budget and on schedule!  We have done several remodels over the past few years, this time it was a fixer we purchased in Rancho Mirage as a second home.  Being out of town owners, it was critical that we have someone in charge of the remodel who we could trust and also someone who’s eye we could trust.  Anders delivered.  He was a good problem-solver, thoughtful and insightful.  He had good relationships with sub-contractors and hired good, solid, trustworthy people.  This was one job where we never had to chase down subs to finish work and move-in dates did not have to be postponed.  His communication skills were excellent and even though we weren’t able to see the project progress in person- he kept us constantly informed.  Whatever issues arose, he was able to deal with them in a straightforward way and he always had creative ideas for solving problems.  If you are looking for a trustworthy contractor with an eye for design – Anders Hanson is it.
